At Home Remedy for a
Toothache

How to Mitigate Tooth Pain?

If you’re experiencing a major toothache in the middle
of the night or just can’t get to the dentist soon enough, we have
a recommended pain management routine that is proven to reduce pain better
than an opioid, like a Percocet or Vicodin.

At-Home Toochache Pain Management

  • Take 3 or 4 Advil at 8:00 am
  • Take 2 extra strength Tylenol at Noon.
  • Take 3 or 4 Advil at 4:00 pm
  • Take 2 extra strength Tylenol at 8:00 pm
  • Take 3 or 4 Advil at Midnight
  • The maximum amount of ibuprofen/ Advil you can safely take in 24
    hours is 3,200 milligrams.
  • The maximum amount of acetaminophen/ Tylenol 4,000
    milligrams.

By following this routine to manage your pain, you will be under
the daily limit, experience the same pain relief as with prescribed medicine,
and not have to take opioids.

Typically, Advil works for about 8 hours, and Tylenol works for
about 4 hours. Check with your doctor before using ibuprofen and acetaminophen.
