Home- Which Toothbrush is Best?

There are so many different types of toothbrushes out there, and
it can be hard to know which ones are the best. In general, as long as you
have a soft-bristle toothbrush and you are using it properly, then you have
found the best toothbrush for you.

However, when it comes to manual versus mechanical or electric
toothbrushes, we always recommend an electric
toothbrush.

Are Electric Toothbrushes Better?

Electric toothbrushes are better at getting more plaque and
bacteria off your teeth and out of your gumline. There are many different
kinds of electric toothbrushes too. Some of them are spin brushes, and then
there is Sonicare.

There is no right answer as to which is better, like we say, as
long as your brushing properly, then you can use any toothbrush. At Dr.
Bilski’s office, we always recommend the Sonicare because we feel it
gets the job done the best.

The Sonicare is a vibrating toothbrush that shatters through the
bugs and the plaque in your mouth and leaves you with a healthier
smile.

The Cons of Sonicare

Some Sonicare products can be more expensive than other electric
options, but that is because it offers results close to a professional dental
cleaning.

How Often Should You Change the Head on Your Electric
Toothbrush?

In general, you should change the head on your toothbrush every
two to three months. The frequency does vary based on how hard you brush and
how often. Many Sonicare products have indicators on their bristles that tell
you when it is time to replace the head.
